Bets Come In For Wiggins To Be Stripped Of Tour De France Title

Bradley Wiggins is now an 8/1 shot to be stripped of the Tour de France title he won in 2012 after an explosive report by MPs was published on Monday.

We received a number of bet requests after the Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) select committee published claims that Team Sky ‘crossed an ethical line’ through their application of therapeutic use exemptions, which allows competitors to take banned substances to treat legitimate medical conditions.

Team Sky manager David Brailsford is now 2/1 not be at the helm when the Tour de France departs on July 7th, while Chris Froome is 5/2 not to roll off in this year’s Tour as an investigation continues into a possible doping violation at last year’s Vuelta a España.

Wiggins, who tweeted on Monday that he strongly refutes the claim that any drug was used without medical need, is 20/1 to be stripped of his knighthood in 2018.

Team Sky have also said they strongly refute the serious claim that medication has been used by the team to enhance performance.
