BoyleSports Refund O’Brien Runners In Cash As Sottsass Lands Arc

BoyleSports have refunded customers who backed any Aidan O’Brien trained horses in Sunday’s Prix d l’Arc de Triomphe.

The Irish trainer was due to send four horses to post in the big race at Longchamp but withdrew all four when they tested positive for a banned substance, believed to be from a contaminated feed.

Any customers who backed Mogul, Japan, Serpentine or Sovereign have now been refunded by BoyleSports in cash.

Enable’s bid for a historic third victory in the spectacle ended as she could only finish sixth behind Sottsass, who saw off a late challenge from In Swoop to land Europe’s richest race.

Enable backers ended up frustrated by conditions and a bit of interference in what was a messy Arc but congratulations to those who got behind Sottsass to improve on last year’s third. Any disappointed punters who were on any of the withdrawn Aidan O’Brien quartet have had their money returned in cash which we feel is fair given they were attracting plenty of support before the news broke.
