Another emotional audition came from current 12/1 second favourite Christian Burrows, who performed original track Thunder Buddy about his late brother.

James Wilson is the first of the Overs to make it through after his story of how dyslexia has hindered his music career tugged at the heart strings. Following his performance of Ray LaMontagne’s Joleen he went into the betting at 14/1.

Also making it through was 16-year-old Samantha Lavery , who is priced at 25/1, Ryan Lawrie, Melissa Pedro and the first group of the series Yes Lad, who are all installed as 33/1 shots.
