Wilder Sacking Odds Shorten After Latest Sheffield United Loss

Punters are speculating in increasing numbers over the future of Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder following their latest defeat at the weekend to Crystal Palace.

The 2-0 scoreline means the Blades have picked up only two points from 17 league matches and leaves them 12 points adrift of safety at the foot of the Premier League table.

Now Wilder has made an unwanted move to the head of the sack race, falling into 6/4 from 4/1 with BoyleSports hours after the final whistle at Selhurst Park.

That means he is now rated the most likely next managerial casualty in the top flight, with Mikel Arteta eased to 11/2 from 2/1 following Arsenal’s recent upturn in results.

Up until the weekend we hadn’t seen much money for him to lose job. That changed after the Crystal Palace result.
