Dele Alli Deadline Day Move To Everton Backed As Odds Halved
Frank Lampard is being backed to boost Everton’s squad on a busy deadline day as he prepares to be confirmed as the new face in the Goodison Park hotseat.
The former Chelsea boss is believed to have signed his contract on Sunday
…and will be unveiled on Monday as the replacement for Rafa Benitez, who was sacked after just six months in charge after the Toffees slipped to 16th in the Premier League table.
Out-of-favour Manchester United midfielder Donny Van de Beek is set to join Lampard at Goodison Park after agreeing a loan deal, but the latest betting suggests the new manager could boost his options further with more incomings before the window closes on Monday night.
The odds on Tottenham’s Dele Alli making the switch to Everton have been slashed in half at 2/1 from 4/1 in the betting, while former Toffee Ross Barkley has also been backed into 9/4 from 5/1 to return to the club from Chelsea.
Lampard is a 15/8 shot to go unbeaten in his first three games in charge against Brentford, Newcastle and Leeds, while the prospect of the club dropping to the Championship has been eased to 9/2 from 4/1.
