Jesse Lingard Odds-On For Transfer Deadline Day Switch To Newcastle

Jesse Lingard’s proposed transfer to Newcastle United has been backed into odds-on to go through on Deadline Day amid reports he is meeting Manchester United manager Ralf Rangnick to try to force the move.

A busy deadline day is expected at St. James’ Park, but a move for Lingard appeared to be unlikely at the weekend with the Magpies reportedly falling short of Manchester United’s asking price.

The latest betting with BoyleSports however suggests there could be developments as…

they cut the odds on the deal happening into 8/11 from 6/4 on Monday morning following reports Lingard is continuing to push for a breakthrough in negotiations.

Arsenal are also expected to confirm an exit for out-of-favour striker Pierre-Emrick Aubameyang, who has shortened into 2/7 from even money to seal a move to Barcelona having not played for the Gunners since December.

The chances of Mikel Arteta boosting his options with the capture of Alvaro Morata have sunk into 4/1 from 10/1 as a result, although Real Sociedad’s Alexander Isak remains a more likely option at even money despite reports he has returned to Spain after being sighted in London.
