Dustin Poirier Now Odds-On To Defeat Conor McGregor

Conor McGregor has moved from favourite to underdog for his highly anticipated bout with Dustin Poirier as the pair prepare to settle their long-running rivalry in a third meeting this weekend in Las Vegas.

McGregor, who took just 106 seconds to see off his American opponent when they first met in 2014, sank to his fifth career defeat at the UFC 257 rematch between the pair in January, meaning the rivals have one victory each heading into the trilogy bout in the early hours of Sunday morning.

A bullish McGregor was in typical confident form this week claiming his opponent would pay for some recent trash talk, but punters are beginning to waver on his chances even though he was chalked up as a 4/7 favourite when the bout was confirmed.

We have now eased a McGregor victory out to Evens, while Poirier has been backed into 4/5 from 11/8 to assert his authority off the back of his knockout in January.

The rivalry is also expected to be settled before the full five rounds at a red hot 1/5 from 2/7, while the chances of a winner being declared before the end of the first round have also shortened into 7/4 from 5/2.
