Epsom Rivals Set For Clash At Curragh Showdown

Dermot Weld’s Epsom Derby winner Harzand looks set to take in the Irish Derby where he could meet Epsom rival US Army Ranger.

US Army Ranger, a fast finishing second to Harzand, might just prefer the prospect of faster ground and a more galloping track. This may give Aidan O’Brien’s charge an opportunity to reverse the form.

The pair look set for another showdown in the Irish Derby as they are locked for favouritism at 6/4. Next are Idaho and Wings of Desire at 7/1 with Beacon Rock priced at 20/1. Moonlight Magic and Shogun make up the field at 25/1 and 50/1 respectively.

The Irish Derby is an intriguing contest that could see the Epsom Derby 1st and 2nd go head to head again.
