EuroMillions Lotto and Bingo wins for Cork and Mayo customers
A County Cork punter has a great Tuesday night after a flutter on their lucky EuroMillions Lotto numbers paid off with a five-figure windfall.
The anonymous punter struck a €0.30 cent Yankee, amounting to a total stake of €3.30, in their local BoyleSports shop to try to overcome mammoth odds in the EuroMillions Plus draw taking place that evening.
The customer selected numbers 3, 16, 30 and 40 to be drawn and with all the numbers rolling out of the machine, a big pay out had landed.
The four numbers overcame odds of 33,000/1 and were enough to see their stake transformed into a mega total of €11,883.30.
Sarah Kinsella, spokesperson for BoyleSports, said: “We send huge congratulations to our Cork customer for walking off €11,880 richer this week. They were aiming high with modest stakes, but their ambition has paid off and we wish them happy spending.”
Elsewhere, a punter in County Mayo is thanking their lucky stars after they received a tasty cash boost by turning a modest punt on the bingo into a five-figure sum.
The anonymous player invested just €5 in their lucky numbers in a BoyleSports shop in the county on Tuesday evening, hoping balls 1, 10, 16, 22, 33 and 34 would be six of the 49 numbers drawn.
A top prize fund of €500,000 was available if the selections were the first six numbers out, but a satisfying consolation was on the way because in a stunning turn of fortune, six out of the first eight numbers called were exactly the numbers they had picked out.
As a result, they were able to go back up to the counter and swap their betslip for €25,000 profit which will certainly give them a well-deserved midweek boost.
Sarah Kinsella added: “We offer huge congratulations to our Mayo customer whose luck was certainly in on Tuesday.
“They have proved that you don’t have to bet big to win big and we wish them well spending their incredible amount of €25,000 for just €5.”
