Two Lotto punters in County Kildare are busy counting their winnings this weekend after they took on massive odds and scooped healthy profits from three lucky numbers.

The first anonymous punter staked €10 in BoyleSports shop and placed it in on numbers 9, 16 and 34 to drop in the EuroMillions Plus draw on Friday evening at odds of 1,500/1.

The odds however took a tumble as their chosen numbers all rolled out in quick succession and triggered a payout totalling €15,010.

The second lucky winner scooped a return of €6,004 from a €4 wager on numbers 28, 34 and 48 in the main EuroMillions draw, taking the profit between them to a stunning €21,000, from stakes totalling just €14.

The luck was shining on a Dublin Lotto punter at the weekend when they scooped a tasty five-figure sum from only three numbers.

The anonymous customer placed a €10 bet on their BoyleSports account, picking numbers 28, 34 and 48 to drop out in the main EuroMillions draw on Friday night.

They faced 1,500/1 odds on all three numbers coming out, but they were smashed in a matter of seconds as all three rolled out allowing the celebrations to begin.

That sent their stake sky-rocketing in value, allowing the lucky winner to log back in to see their balance topped by a stunning total of €15,010.

Lawrence Lyons, spokesperson for BoyleSports said: “The Lotto numbers didn’t fall our way at the weekend and we have to send huge congratulations to our Dublin customer who cashed in with a €10 flutter. It took them just three numbers to scoop a profit of €15,000, so we have to hand it to them for taking on the odds.”

A Lotto punter in County Tyrone is toasting a satisfying win after a tiny flutter resulted in a chunky four-figure windfall thanks to four lucky numbers.

The anonymous winner placed a £1 bet in a BoyleSports shop, hoping for four numbers to come out in the teatime 49s draw on Friday at odds of 7,200/1.

They were left waiting on numbers 22, 25, 40 and 41 all rolling out of the machine, but there were scenes of celebration as that’s exactly what happened.

The run of luck allowed them to return to the shop to pick up a whopping total of £7,201.
