Coutinho & Benteke – Justice For Punters
Aston Villa have made it to their first FA Cup final since 2000, having seen off Liverpool for a 2-1 victory at Wembley but that wasn’t the big news that concerned punters.
We took the decision to pay out on both Philippe Coutinho at 6/1 and Christian Benteke at 13/2 in a justice payout that delighted our customers.
With major interest in our First Goalscorer markets for the show-piece, we were eager to see who would net first with hefty wagers on a handful of players.
Liverpool opened the scoring in the 30th minute as Philippe Coutinho weaved his way through the Villa defence and prodded the ball towards the target. It was clearly skewing well wide of Shay Given’s goal until Jores Okore stuck out a thigh and sent the ball flying past the Villans’ keeper and into the net.
It only took six minutes for Villa to reply with Christian Benteke – one of Europe’s in-form strikers – side-footing his team level.
Our traders decided, fairly, to award first goal to both players and whilst it resulted in us taking a serious hit, we felt it was only right considering the dubious nature of the opening goal.
We always strive to award our customers with these justice payouts as much as possible and hope there are some happy punters out there
