Man City Odds Shorten For Premier League Title Defence

Manchester City have fallen into their shortest price all season in the betting for the Premier League title after their 4-0 victory at Newcastle on Sunday.

Ruben Dias, Joao Cancelo, Riyad Mahrez and Raheem Sterling were all on the scoresheet at St. James’ Park, meaning Pep Guardiola’s side have now wiped out their goal difference deficit to Liverpool after 11 goals this week without reply.

The result guaranteed City top place in the Premier League on Christmas Day and they now enjoy a three-point lead after Liverpool were held to a 2-2 draw by Tottenham on an action-packed afternoon in North London.

We have since eased The Reds out to 7/2 from 5/2 to get their hands back on the trophy…

Whilst Man City are now hot 2/7 favourites from 1/2 for a fourth title in five seasons.

Chelsea meanwhile have been pushed out to 12/1 from 7/1 to finish the season at the top of the table after a stalemate at Molineux saw them fall six points behind the league leaders.
