Harzand Backed To Complete Derby Double

Epsom Derby winner Harzand has strengthened further as the favourite to land the Dubai Duty Free Irish Derby on Saturday and is now 10/11 from 5/4.

Dermot Weld’s son of Sea The Stars and Hazariya is followed in the market by Aidan O’Brien’s Idaho, who finished third to Harzand in the Epsom Derby.

Idaho suffered a drift today ahead of Saturday’s race and now features at 2/1…

…having been cut into 6/4 from 9/2 following the withdrawl of US Army Ranger.

O’Brien has three other challengers in the race made up of Port Douglas (16/1), Shogun (40/1) and Claudio Monteverdi, who is priced at 50/1.

Ed Dunlop’s Red Verdon is the sole British entry and is available at 10/1. Making up the rest of the field are Jim Bolger’s Moonlight Magic (12/1) and Stellar Mass (33/1) and Dermot Weld’s other entry Ebediyin, who is a 50/1 shot.
