Competition Fierce For Galway Plate

Galway Plate 2014

Outright Betting

Boylesports have priced up the Galway Plate with four horses currently inseparable at the head of the betting at 10/1.

Dessie Hughes’ Art Of Logistics has been allotted 10st 13lbs and has been installed at 10/1 alongside the Charles Byrne’s trained Domination and

the Willie Mullins trained Away We Go as well as the Jonjo O’Neill trained It’s A Gimme who recently provided AP McCoy with his record breaking 4,192 winner at Market Rasen.

Jessica Harrington’s Burn And Turn is next in the betting at 12/1 alongside Vulcanite, Balnaslow and Golden Wonder whilst the JP McManus owned Cause Of Causes is one of six runners on offer at 14/1.

Jacksonslady finished third in the race last year and is priced at 16/1 to go two places better whilst last year’s runner up, Quantitativeeasing who has been allotted 10st 12lbs is priced at 20/1.

At present we cannot separate four horses at the top of the betting but no doubt we will see a few gambles taking place in the coming days as the possible runners emerge.

The Galway Plate has always produced horses to follow for the National Hunt season with last year’s winner, Carlingford Lough going on to win Grade One races at both Leopardstown and Punchestown.
