A penalty in extra time was enough to see England book their spot into their first European Championships final against Italy as they beat Denmark 2-1 at Wembley Stadium on Wednesday night.

In front of almost 60,000 fans England fell behind early after a terrific free kick from Denmark’s Mikkel Damsgaard.

It didn’t take long after the Danes scored for England to get the equaliser courtesy of Kjaer own goal.

It was 1-1 at the end of full-time but a controversial penalty was rewarded in the 104th minute and captain Harry Kane found the back of the net in the rebound following up after his penalty was saved.

As soon as the final whistle was blown, we made England the 6/4 favourites to beat the Azzurri.

Italy are slight movers into 2/1 from 19/10 as they seek to win the title they last lifted in 1968.

A draw can be backed at 19/10 with England to win in normal time (8/5), extra time (9/1) and on penalties (15/2).

There is support for Italy to win on penalties with those chances trimmed into 15/2 from 9/1.
