Galway are in a class of their own with four wins and one draw in their last five league games; they lead the league thirteen points clear of closest challengers Waterford with the second-best attack with fifty-eight goals scored and a phenomenal defensive record with only eight conceded.
Last Friday, they were challenged by bottom-of-the-table Kerry but still managed a 1-0 win, and I can’t see them not winning again on Friday.

Athlone now finds themselves cut a drift of Cobh in third and will be looking below them now as the likes of Bray and, ironically, Wexford could see Bray having a big target on their back and in danger of falling down the table further.
