Leinster Tipped For Pro 12 Success

The Guinness Pro 12 gets underway on Friday with a host of Round 1 fixtures stretching into Saturday.

Leinster currently hold favouritism at 2/1 to take the title after losing the final to Connacht last season. Glasgow last topped the Pro 12 table in the 2014/15 season and are expected to be Leinster main threat at 11/5.

Ulster are on offer at 5/1 to claim the title for the first time since their initial win in 2006. Scarlets and Munster, who finished 5th and 6th respectively last year, are both installed as 9/1 shots.

Title holders Connacht are further down the betting at 12/1 to retain the title with Ospreys next at 16/1.

Edinburgh and Cardiff Blues are both priced at 100/1, Newport Gwent Dragons are available at 200/1 with Zebre and Benetton Treviso firm outsiders at 2500/1.

Leinster and Glasgow were inseparable as 2/1 joint favourites last week

but ahead of the start of the tournament Glasgow have been eased to 11/5 seeing Leinster become sole favourites for Pro 12 success
