Limerick Punter Treats Themselves To €11,302 Lotto Loot

A County Limerick punter had reason to pop the champagne this week after landing an impressive five-figure windfall on the Lotto thanks to a couple of tiny bets.

The anonymous customer placed a €1 wager in a BoyleSports shop in the county, picking four numbers to come out of the Irish Lotto Plus 1 draw, and another €1 accumulator on the numbers coming out with the bonus ball included.

They were left waiting on four numbers in the 30s to come out, but their luck was in as 30, 33, 34 and 37 all rolled out within the main six numbers drawn.

One bet overcame odds of 3,800/1, while the other made light work of the 7,500/1 chances that the four numbers would land in the main 6. The staggering run of luck meant the customer was able to return to the shop the next day to collect a spectacular total of €11,302.
