Louth Backed For Promotion Under Mickey Harte

Louth are popular favourites to earn promotion to the Third Division of the Allianz National Football League ahead of their opener against Antrim this weekend.

Mickey Harte’s first match in charge of the Wee County has been given an added element of intrigue as one of his former Tyrone players Enda McGinley makes his Antrim bow in the opposing dugout in Dundalk on Saturday.

Louth have been made odds-on favourites at 8/13 to get off to a winning start

…with Antrim starting as 13/8 underdogs to emulate the shock win for their hurlers over Clare in NHL Division 1.

Harte has also been backed into 2/1 from 3/1 to guide Louth to promotion by winning Division 4, while Saturday’s opponents Antrim are rated as their main dangers at 7/2 ahead of Carlow (4/1) and Sligo (5/1).
