Luis Enrique Hot Favourite For Arsenal Job

Next Permanent Arsenal Manager

Outright Betting

Luis Enrique is now the clear front-runner in the race to be the next Arsenal manager after previous favourite Brendan Rodgers dismissed speculation linking him with the role.

The Celtic manager’s assertion that there was “nothing in it” referring to rumours linking him to the Emirates hotseat saw his odds drift out from 7/2 to 7/1, while Luis Enrique has steadily climbed his way up the betting since opening up at 14/1 for the job following Arsene Wenger’s announcement.

…but further money now sees the 47-year-old at the head of the market at 5/2 ahead of former Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti.

Both Enrique and Ancelotti are on the market having left high profile jobs at Barcelona and Bayern Munich respectively in 2017.

Other names in the frame include Germany head coach Joachim Low at 8/1, former Gunners midfielder Patrick Vieira at 10/1 and Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone at 16/1, who is set to come face-to-face with Wenger this week when his side tackle Arsenal in their Europa League semi-final.
