Mullins Backed To Nail The 1-2-3 In BoyleSports Champion Chase

BoyleSports Champion Chase

Outright Betting

Willie Mullins is a short 6/5 shot to fill up the first three places in the BoyleSports Champion Chase in the headline race on the first day of the Punchestown Festival.

The Clonsutton handler is sending three of his stable stars to post with a prize pot of €275,000 up for grabs…

…in a race which could almost halve his deficit in the race to be Champion Irish Trainer.

Douvan is the current 5/4 favourite for the contest, with 5/2 Min and 5/1 Un De Sceaux ahead of Gordon Elliott’s shortest priced contender, 6/1 shot Doctor Phoenix.

Elliott goes into the Punchestown Festival with a lead of over €500,000 in the Trainers’ Championship, but drifted to 8/11 from 8/15 after declarations for the BoyleSports Champion Chase were revealed.

Willie Mullins is now an Even money shot from 6/4 to overhaul the Grand National winning trainer by the end of the season.
