Mairead Ronan Eyes Up Glitterball As Odds Are Slashed

Mairead Ronan blew everyone away on Dancing With the Stars on Sunday evening, scoring a whopping 25 out of 30 for her emotional contemporary dance.

The celebs performed routines themed from memorable years of their lives for week five and it was Mairead who stole the show.

We have once again been forced to cut the presenter’s odds and she is now a firm contender for the Glitterball having shortened into 3/1 from 5/1.

Johnny Ward remains at the head of the betting but has lost his once tight grip on the Glitterball trophy as he drifts out to 13/8 from 13/10 after a low-scoring Cha Cha saw him in the bottom half of the leaderboard.

Another key frontrunner has also felt the sting of drifting odds as Cliona Hagan, who scored 22 for her American Smooth, is eased out to 5/2 from 2/1.

The country star now has Mairead Ronan hot on her heels for second favouritism and is going to have to pull out all the stops if she is to remain there.

Denis Bastick saw his odds slashed from 14/1 to 10/1 after an impressive Charleston scored an impressive 23 points and saw him take second place on the leaderboard.
