Man City Treble Odds – Can City Match Man United’s Historic Feat

We have Man City treble odds for you as we look at the chances of Pep Guardiola’s side at winning a historic treble this season.

Man City Treble Odds

The odds on Man City winning the treble this season are now 4/7. This would mean that Pep Guardiola’s team would have to win each of the Premier League, Champions League and FA Cup.

Man City have already secured the Premier League title and are hot odds-on favourites to win both the FA Cup and the Champions League.

If you think that City will only be able to win any of these two competitions, you can get odds of 7/4. Although this is of course a great season, it would be a huge a disappointment for the club who are having a near perfect season.

Man City is currently 2/7 to beat Man United in the FA Cup Final and in the process win the FA Cup. An incredible three month run of form which saw them go unbeaten combined with Arsenal stumbling resulted in Man City winning the Premier League with a game to spare.

In the Champions League they are 2/11 favourites to lift the trophy after getting revenge on Real Madrid in this year’s semi-final. City will need to beat Inter Milan if Pep is finally to get his hands on the European Cup once again.

What English Teams Have Won The Treble?

Cities Cross-Town Rivals Manchester United are the first and to date the only side in English Football to achieve the elusive “Treble” which they did in the famous 1998-99 season by winning the Premier League, FA Cup and UEFA Champions League.

Today it is still argued by many as the biggest achievement of an English team. Since Manchester City was taken over by Sheikh Mansour in September 2008 the club has built itself up to be a force in English Football winning the FA Cup in the 2010-11 season and from that date winning a staggering 14 major trophies.

Man City Treble Chances

Manchester City has been such a consistent force across competitions that this is not the first time they have been touted as “Treble” or even “Quadruple” winners they were even quoted as short as 50/1 for the quadruple before a ball was kicked this season but a shock defeat to Southampton in the quarter-finals ended that dream in January.

Man City’s Path To A Champions League Title

Despite the end of the quad dream, the treble looks like a bigger prospect than arguably ever before having qualified for the Champions League Final.

Man City played Real Madrid in The Bernabéu in the first-leg of the Semi-Final on the 9th of May where they took a 1-1 draw back to the Etihad Stadium in Manchester.

City went on to demolish Real Madrid in the second leg 4-0 0n the night with a brace from Bernardo Silva plus goals from Akanji and Alvarez to give them the 5-1 aggregate victory and in-turn book their place in the Champions League Final against Inter Milan on the 10th of June.

Inter earned their spot in the final by overcoming their closest rivals AC Milan 0-2 in the firstleg and 1-0 in the second leg to secure their chance at winning their first Champions League Title since their win in 2010.

The Champions League is the one trophy that eludes Manchester City in their recent dominance and one that Pep Guardiola has been accused of underachieving in throughout the years.  By the time the night comes they will already be Premier League Champions and possibly FA Cup winners.

If that’s the case it would mean all the pressure would come down to Europe’s biggest club game with a win needed in the Champions League Final to secure a historic treble.

Man City’s Path To An FA Cup Title

Man City face cross-town rivals Man United in the Manchester Derby in the final of the FA-Cup on the 3rd of June in Wembley Stadium a week before their potential Champions League Final, Man United will want to make sure they stop City’s treble charge.

Man City’s Path To A Premier League Title

Man City in the Premier League has been an imperious winning machine this season since their last defeat in the league 1-0 to Tottenham back in February. Since that loss to Spurs City have won every game bar one which was a 1-1 draw away to Nottingham Forest.

Arsenal faced that same opposition, Nottingham Forest, in their second last game of the league season with the knowledge that anything but a win in that match would end their title dreams for another season. The Gunners stumbled again and lost 1-0 to relegation battling Forest which saw Man City crowned Premier League Champions for the 2022/23 season.

Man City Trophies Prediction

Man City already have one trophy in the bag with their Premier League title secured for this season.

Inter Milan are the only side left in City’s way in their quest for the Champions League. While the Italian outfit are a decent side, Guardiola’s men should have far too much for them no matter how hard the Spanish tactician tries to overthink the final!

I reckon it will be down to ten Hag to and Man United players to help prevent the legacy of their club and end their treble hopes before they play Inter Milan. I’m projecting United teen sensation Alejandro Garnacho to stamp his name in Man United folklore by scoring a dramatic late winner in Wembley!
