Maura Higgins Set To Skate Off As Second Favourite For Dancing On Ice

Dancing On Ice 2020

Outright Betting

Irish model Maura Higgins is being backed to do what she couldn’t do in the Love Island villa by walking off the winner in the new series of Dancing On Ice.

The greatest show on ice returns this weekend and the Longford Love Islander is seeing steady support at 5/1 with BoyleSports as she looks set to go off the main danger in the betting to favourite Perri Kiely.

Competing as a professional dancer, the Diversity member has admitted to feeling the pressure, but he is set to go off as the clear favourite at 6/4 as he prepares to showcase his credentials with a week one performance to Robbie Williams’ rendition of ‘Puttin on the Ritz.’

Ian ‘H’ Watkins will be hoping to make the right steps as he teams up with Matt Evers to become the first same-sex couple to take part in the contest and he is a 15/2 shot to win ahead of his opening performance to the appropriate ‘High Hopes’ by Panic At The Disco.

Footballer-turned-pundit Kevin Kilbane joins Maura Higgins in flying the flag for Ireland at 14/1, while Lisa George is swapping the cobbles of Coronation Street for the ice rink and is proving one of the popular outsiders having been backed into 18/1 from 25/1 just days before the action gets under way.

We know from previous TV ventures that Perri Kiely has the moves, so we’ll get a clue this weekend as to whether he is as impressive with a pair of skates on.

The odds suggest he will be.

However, Maura Higgins is up there in the betting too and is seeing significant support to make as good an impression on the ice as she did in the heat of the Love Island villa.
