Support For Branning Sisters In Lucy Beale Murder

As the reveal of Lucy Beale’s killer is set to air during Eastenders’ 30th anniversary week in February, rumours are rife as to who did it.

Abi Branning is now the 2/1 favourite having been 6/1 before the Christmas and New Year’s shows.

Punters began to lump onto Abi Branning following Emma Summerhayes death which saw her send a text to the killer just before her untimely demise.

Jane Beale was also on the Square that day and as the reveal draws closer, Lucy’s stepmother is 4/1 to have done the unthinkable and killed her on/off partner’s daughter. Jake Wood, who plays Max Branning whom Lucy was having an affair with, jokingly held up a sign at the PDC World Darts Championship that read ‘I Killed Lucy’. Despite it being highly unlikely that Jake revealed one of the most anticipated storylines on the show, he has shortened into 6/1 from 16/1 as a result of his stunt.

Also on offer at 6/1 is Denise Fox, who may seem like an unusual suspect but after handing in Lucy’s phone and checking her own following Emma’s text she is not to be overlooked. Lauren Branning was Lucy’s best friend and has been searching for answers ever since her death but could she have done it as revenge for starting an affair with her father? She’s on offer at 7/1 and is one of the main losers in the market.

A family member to have killed Lucy is not out of the question with Ian Beale, her own father, 8/1 and her twin brother Peter Beale priced at 9/1 to have committed the crime. Jay Brown and Ben Mitchell were the early prime suspects. Ben has killed before so it is not beyond him to kill again and he is 10/1, however Jay is priced at 9/1 and was heavily backed when the market opened having been on the bus Lucy was on before her death.
