Oasis Reunion Amongst 2019 Punters’ Predictions

Punters have been having their say on what will happen in 2019 and a return to the stage for Oasis is amongst the bets being nibbled ahead of the New Year being welcomed next week.

BoyleSports have made it a 10/1 shot that the Gallagher brothers decide not to look back in anger and bury the hatchet to reform the band in the year that will mark the 25th anniversary of the release of their first single, Supersonic.

Just as likely however is an alliance of an extra-terrestrial kind after reported sightings of UFOs off the Irish coast in November, just before NASA’s InSight lander arrived on Mars. It’s also a 10/1 shot that life is found on the red planet during 2019, making it just as likely as Andy Murray winning Wimbledon and four times more likely than Manchester United winning the Champions League.

Game Of Thrones fans will be glued to their seats for the final season of the popular HBO show and it’s Bran Stark who leads the betting to rule Westeros when the show bows out with Jon Snow at 4/1.

Ireland are rated at 20/1 to improve on their record of 7 Eurovision victories while a first UK win since 1997 in the song contest is twice as unlikely at 40/1 as the bash heads for Israel.

The mild weather has also been a hot topic over the festive period and it’s just a 5/2 chance that Ireland puts in the hottest year on record, but if the disruptive storms make an unwelcome return, those dreaming of a white Easter can snap up 25/1 about snow on Sunday 21st April.

We’ve had plenty of requests from the weird to outright whacky and we’ll not stop crying our hearts out if we have to pay out on an Oasis reunion to mark 25 years since they burst into the limelight…

because it’s been a more popular bet than we anticipated.

It’s been a busy few months for our TV traders ahead the Game Of Thrones finale and we’re expecting a few twists and turns as the plot develops, but Bran Stark is the current frontrunner to be sitting on the iron throne by the end of the show so we’ll see if the early money reaps the rewards in the New Year.
