Odds slashed for this greyhound ahead of Shelbourne Champion 550 final

Vincenzo has attracted plenty of support this week to win Shelbourne Champion 550 final on Saturday after his performance in the competition.

The son of Droopys Sydney – Alien Nipper has won his last two heats and had to work hard on both occasions to chase down the pace setter The Other Kobe.

Vincenzo chased down his rival in the second round to win by two lengths in 29.46 but went even quicker last week to win by two lengths in 29.30.

BoyleSports have cut the speedster into 2/1 from 10/1 in the betting, making him the second favourite behind The Other Kobe, who remains a big loser for the bookie.

Trained by Jennifer O’Donnell, The Other Kobe has been unlucky to meet Vincenzo for the last two rounds and will meet him again in the final.

Despite being chased down by him, The Other Kobe is 13/8 from 3/1 as punters continue to support this early pacer.

The other semi-final winner was the Murt Leahy trained Droopys Nice One. She was epic from trap five to win by four lengths in 29.32 with her outright odds cut into 7/2 from 8/1.

Qualifiers Pablo Escobark (6/1 from 10/1), Hoodoo Brown (8/1) and Ballymac Ben (16/1 from 20/1) make up the field in this competitive final with Hoodoo Brown winning his opening round heat in 29.27, so he cannot be dismissed.
