Sanders v Trump? Bernie Backed Into Favourite To Fight Election

Bernie Sanders is now the clear frontrunner in the race to take on Donald Trump in this year’s Presidential election after he claimed victory in the New Hampshire Democratic primary.
The Vermont senator was backed into 6/4 favourite from 5/2 to be the Democratic candidate on the ballot paper come November after he beat former mayor Pete Buttigieg into second place.
Buttigieg, pitching himself as the centrist candidate, is 4/1 from 11/2 to earn the nomination, while a dark horse emerged in the shape of Amy Klobuchar, who was cut into 14/1 from 28/1 after taking third place.

It was a bad night for Joe Biden, who now finds himself out at 10/1 in the Democratic race having previously led the market at 3/1.

Sanders described his victory as “the beginning of the end” of Donald Trump, but the betting suggests he still has it all to do at 4/1 to make it all the way to the White House.
Trump has remained steadfast as the favourite to win at 4/7, the shortest price he has been to date after he was backed in from 5/6 earlier this week.
