Portugal Hot Favourites To Beat Rep of Ireland With Ronaldo Favourite To Score First

Republic of Ireland take on Portugal this Thursday in their final home 2022 World Cup qualifier in the Aviva Stadium but it’s the visitors who are the red-hot favourites.

The Boys in Green will be heading into the sell-out fixture with confidence following two successive victories over Azerbaijan and Qatar during the last international break, but the betting suggests a win for Portugal.

Stephen Kenny’s side are searching for a third win on the spin but support is thin on the ground for an upset in Dublin with odds at 17/2.

Portugal are 1/3 in the betting to walk away with the win.

Cristiano Ronaldo is rated the most likely first goalscorer having been backed into 9/4 from 11/4 this week with other players including Andre Silva (7/2), Diogo Jota (9/2) and Joao Felix (5/1). Ronaldo is 4/6 from 4/5 to score anytime.

We have a special price boost for the game for both teams to score and over 3.5 goals now 4/1 from 11/4.
