Price Cut On Alexander-Arnold To Start Against Croatia In Euro 2020

Trent Alexander-Arnold and Jude Bellingham are two of the names being backed to for shock starts for England against Croatia in their first match at Euro 2020 after featuring among the final 26 announced by Gareth Southgate on Tuesday.

Despite rumours to the contrary, Alexander-Arnold has been included in the final squad, while there was disappointment for Mason Greenwood who withdrew through injury and Jesse Lingard, Ben White, Ben Godfrey, Aaron Ramsdale, James Ward-Prowse and Ollie Watkins who were trimmed from the provisional squad.

We have now cut Alexander-Arnold into 2/1 from 5/1 to start England’s first match on Sunday 13th June against Croatia,

…while Bellingham is a 7/2 shot from 9/2 to feature in the Group D opener.

The Borussia Dortmund and former Birmingham City midfielder has been backed into 2/1 from 7/2 to earn a start in any of England’s matches at the tournament, while he is a 5/1 shot to register his first international goal.

England are currently odds-on at 3/4 to get off to a winning start in Group D against Croatia and are hot 2/5 favourites to go on and top the group.
