2.30 Queen Mary Stakes Group Two

“This is a tough one to call. The form of the race is very good for 2-year-old fillies this year. They seem to be above average for fillies.

“It’s hard to look into Love Reigns. She annihilated the field in her maiden in Keeneland but how do you read American form coming into Royal Ascot, it’s hard to get a guide from it.”

“Maria Branwell beat a horse of Michael O’Callaghan’s called Crispy Cat at Sandon last month and we would hold her in high regard.

“She won well on the day. She got caught on the rail and hard to switch out. She got unbalanced but when she got herself balanced, she hit the line very well. She is going to take a good bit of beating in this.

3.05 Queen’s Vase Group Two

“This is a tricky race. Looking into this Group Two and it doesn’t look the strongest of races.

“Nahanni was a bit disappointing in the Epsom Derby but he got very worked up before the race and sweated up.

“Things probably didn’t pan out the way he wanted in the race so you can put that run behind him and he can take a step forward. He is the horse with a bit of class in the race.

“Your clutching at straws looking at what will be second and third but I do think Nahanni will bounce back from his disappointing run at Epsom.

“We might see an improvement from Anchorage who steps up in trip here. He probably ran him in the Gallinule Stakes at The Curragh to sharpen him up and get a good blow into him to leave him right for this race.

“He is by Galileo, and they will gallop through a wall. They will gallop all day long and are tough and hardy so I can’t see the step up in trip being a disadvantage.

“Aidan O’Brien is not going to bring him over for the fresh air so he has a squeak.”

3.40 Prince Of Wales’s Stakes Group One

“There is only five runners so it won’t be a very tactical race, it will be very straight forward.

“I like State Of Rest for Joseph O’Brien who was unlucky in the Tattersalls Gold Cup. He is tough and hardy and he will be better than he was at The Curragh the last day.

“Lord North could come into this. He was joint favourite on the day to win the Tattersalls Gold Cup so they clearly held him in high regard and had him ready for the race.

“Maybe he didn’t get his true running of the race so he will be bang there but this will be competitive.

“Bay Bridge is unbeaten in his last five runs, Shahryar who won the Group One Sheema Classic at Meydan so it’s going to be a good race.

“It will go right down to the last furlong and I’d say there will be four of them in contention.”

4.20 Duke Of Cambridge Stakes Group Two

“When looking at her form, Saffron Beach beat Mother Earth last year on her last run in Newmarket in a Group One.

“She had a run in Meydan in March and why they haven’t run her since then is a bit concerning. She is the highest rated horse in the race and if she comes to Royal Ascot 100% she is the one to beat.”

“Bashkirova was impressive in Epsom the last day. She had a hard race and will need to step it up if she is to beat these.

“Mother Earth was disappointing the last day but I think there were reasons for that. It’s Saffron Beach for me.”

5.35 Windsor Castle Stakes
