Scotland Rugby World Cup Odds

Scotland have been given odds of 33/1 to win the 2023 Rugby World Cup which makes them eighth favorites for the Rugby World Cup. Among the teams from the Northern Hemisphere they are fourth favourites.

The two top teams in the market expected to go far in the tournament are co-favourites New Zealand and hosts France who are both 3/1 to win the 2023 Rugby World Cup.

Scotland Rugby World Cup Pool Odds

Scotland have been drawn in Pool B of the 2023 Rugby World Cup. They are joined in the group by 2019 World Cup Champions South Africa, World Number 1 ranked Ireland plus Tonga and Romania.

Scotland are third favourites to win Pool B at 15/2. It is more or less expected to be a two-way battle at the top between South Africa who are 10/11 and Ireland who are 11/10. With that said Scotland might fancy their chances to pull off an upset as they come into this pool under the radar. Elsewhere Tonga are priced at 150/1 while Romania are a mammoth 1000/1 to win Pool B.

Scotland are 5/2 to qualify out of their group and to the other end are 200/1 to finish last in their group!

Rugby World Cup Pool B Odds
Team Odds Chance
South Africa 10/11 52.4%
Ireland 11/10 47.6%
Scotland 15/2 11.8%
Tonga 150/1 0.7%
Romania 1000/1 0.1%

Scotland Rugby World Cup Stage of Elimination Odds

Scotland are expected to get eliminated at the Pool Stage following a tough draw with South Africa and Ireland they’re 1/7 to end their journey at the first hurdle.

If Scotland overcome the odds and qualify out of the Pool Stage they’re expected to get knocked out again at the next stage, with it likely being France or New Zealand at the Quarter-Final stage. If you think Scotland will get out of the Pool and then get eliminated they can be gotten at 4/1

Scotland are 33/1 to win the Rugby World Cup and 33/1 to be runners-up in the tournament. Interestingly, they’re higher priced at 50/1 to be eliminated at the Semi-Final stage so they’ll be expected to win their semi if they can overcome the odds before that!

The Scots best finish in a Rugby World Cup was fourth at the 1991 Rugby World Cup. Since then they have made it to the quarter-finals five times but haven’t been able to clear that hurdle.

At the 2019 Rugby World Cup Scotland were knocked out at the pool stage which means if they fail to make it out of their pool this time that it will be the first time ever that they’ve failed to advance from the pool stage in consecutive Rugby World Cups.
