Scottie Scheffler US Open Odds – A Second Major For Mr. Consistent?

We have Scottie Scheffler US Open odds for you as the American looks to win his first-ever US Open and second major championship.

Scottie Scheffler’s best major performance was at the 2022 Masters which he won while his best finish at the US  Open came back in 2022 when he finished T2. A victory at the Los Angeles Country Club would mean he becomes a multiple-time major champion which would be more than deserved given Scheffler’s consistent standard of world class golf over recent years.

In this post, you will find Scheffler’s latest US Open betting odds along with a preview of his chances at winning at victory at the Los Angeles Country Club this June.

Scottie Scheffler US Open Odds

Scottie Scheffler is 7/1 in the betting odds to win the US Open in 2023. Those odds make him the favourite in the US Open betting market ahead of the likes of Jon Rahm at 9/1 and Rory Mcllroy at 10/1.

Scottie is currently ranked 1st in the world and 1st in the FedEx Money List which is a testament to his consistent form on course during the 2023 season. He has not missed a cut this season with 15 cuts made from 15 events.

Not only has Scheffler been consistently making cuts but he has also been right up at the top of the leaderboard on a consistent basis too with 2 wins, 1 runners-up prize and 11 Top-10 finishes.

Scottie Scheffler’s Form

Scheffler’s Wins In 2023

Scheffler’s most recent victory came in the acclaimed  “fifth major” the Players Championship back in March where he blitzed the field shooting -17 under meaning he was five shots better off than his closest challenger Tyrell Hatton.

His first victory of the season came at the Phoenix Open back in February where he shot -19 under to come two shots clear of second-placed Nick Taylor.

Most Recent Form

Scottie Scheffler has continued his consistent form in recent tournaments, coming T11 at the RBC Heritage back in April. He continued that form by coming T5 at the AT&T Bryson Nelson and T2 at the PGA Championship.

The last time we saw Scheffler on the course was at Jack Nicklaus’ Memorial Tournament where he had one of the strangest tournaments we have ever seen from a golfer.

The Texan was incredible from tee-to-green and finished the week with the most strokes gained from tee-to-green by a wide margin. Unfortunately for Scheffler his putting woes have continued which meant he finished dead last in the field in strokes gained putting. Despite his terrible putting performance he still managed to finish 3rd place, just one shot outside of a playoff.

Recent Major Form

2022 was a mixed year for Scottie in the majors, he started them in flying form winning the Masters, however he followed that up by uncharacteristically missing the cut at the US PGA Championship last year.

The American recovered from that missed cut by placing top 10 in the final two majors of the year, T7 for the U.S. Open and T8 at The Open Championship.

Following on from that in the first major of the year Scheffler finished T10 at The Masters. Another solid performance in a major but he will be disappointed that he was eight shots back from winner Jon Rahm.

At the most recent major, the US PGA Championship, he finished T2 along with Viktor Hovland and two shots back of winner Brooks Koepka.

Scottie Scheffler US Open Form

Scheffler has never won the US Open with his best finish at the event coming in 2022 where he finished T2nd, just one shot behind winner Matt Fitzpatrick.

Scheffler’s other results at the event are a T7 finish in 2021 and being CUT at the event in 2019.

Scottie Scheffler Major Wins

Scottie Scheffler’s sole major success came when he won the 2022 Masters. If Scheffler continues with his impressive form at majors it will only be a matter of time before he wins his second.

Will that second major victory come at this year’s US Open? As the odds suggest, Scheffler has as good a chance as any of winning at LA Country Club.
