Sydney Gallops Into Second Favourite To Win Shelbourne Gold Cup

There were four brilliant heats of the Gold Cup last Saturday night at Shelbourne Park but Galloping Sydney was the most impressive with BoyleSports cutting his odds to be crowned the champion.

The Graham Holland trained tracker remains unbeaten in the competition now and following his blistering win in 28.26 his odds have dived into 9/2 (from 10/1) making him the second favourite in the betting. Stream Of Sydney was two lengths back in second place with her chances cut into 6/1 from 16/1.

Born Warrior – Shelbourne Gold Cup Favourite

The 2022 BoyleSports Greyhound Derby champion Born Warrior is now the sole favourite with his odds cut into 7/2 from 9/2 after another solid performance since his return to the track. He finished one length behind the speedy Rathdown Molly who clocked 28.45 with her Gold Cup chances rated at 8/1 (cut from 16/1).

Cheque For Sir won heat four for trainer Karol Ramsbottom and is 10/1 from 18/1 while heat two winner Bogger Hunter is 7/1 from 12/1 for trainer Ian Reilly.
