Spieth To Add The Barclays To Long List Of Accolades

The Barclays tournament tees off on Thursday and it is Jordan Spieth who heads the betting.

The Masters, US Open and J Deere Classic winner is 11/2 from 6/1 as support continues to roll in for him to nab his first ever Barclays win.

PGA Championship winner Jason Day is second in the betting at 9/1 to win on the Plainfield Country Club course. 2011 winner Dustin Johnson can be backed at 12/1, alongside Justin Rose, with Bubba Watson on offer at 22/1 and Rickie Fowler priced at 25/1.

Reigning champion Hunter Mahan is a longshot to retain the title at 150/1. Elsewhere Henrik Stenson and Brooks Koepka are both available at 28/1 with Jim Furyk catching the eye of punters at 33/1. Support is coming in for the American and the current price is under threat.

BoyleSports are running their ever popular money back offer that sees punters get their money back as a free bet if their selection finishes 2nd or 3rd including ties in the tournament. The offer most recently gave money back on Jason Gore, Charl Schwartzel, Paul Casey and Scott Brown in the Wyndham Championship.

Spieth has had an incredible season and is topping the Official World Golf ranking.

He is, however, not the biggest liability for BoyleSports with punters setting their sights on Jason Day at 9/1 and Jim Furyk at 33/1.

Furyk has had a mixed bag of finishes since his RBC Heritage win in April, but punters seem to believe he is value for money at 33/1, having been on offer at 45/1, as they continue to back him ahead of tee off.
