The 2021 running of this event was won by Ballymac Wild who has since been retired, but household name Beach Avenue was third in the final and is now coming back to try to claim the title and win the €15,000 prize.

Trained by Paul Hennessy, Beach Avenue has been a remarkable servant for his connections as he finished runner-up in the €25,000 Easter Cup final last Saturday behind the sensational Susie Sapphire.

He is 4/1 alongside Sentimental Lad who impressed when winning over the 575 yards trip a week ago in 30.82, and Allforthebest who is a Shelbourne Park regular with huge pace.

Fast Fit Paddy is next in the betting at 8/1 with his recent victory of 29.54 over the 550 yards very encouraging.

He stayed the trip with 32.52 on his card when finishing second to Allforthebest in December, so he looks good value for trainer Declan McDonagh. Recent Easter Cup finalist Darbys Delight is 12/1 as he looks to get back to winning ways.

Others in the betting include Pennylane Sheba at 12/1, Swords Maestro and Auxerre at 16/1 and Gaytime Milo at 33/1.

Fast Fit Paddy is running out of his skin and is 8/1 while the likes of Auxerre and Swords Maestro look great value at 16/1 and could go far.
