How Many Times Did the United Kingdom Win The Eurovision?

The United Kingdom has won the Eurovision 5 times having taken part in the contest 65 times since 1957 and every year since 1959.

Their first victory in the contest came ten years after their first appearance in 1967 with Sandie Shaw singing “Puppet on a String”. Their second victory would come in 1969 when Lulu sang “Boom Bang-a-Bang”.

Their third success at the event came with the Pop Group Brotherhood of Man who sang the song titled “Save Your Kisses for Me” in 1976 and their fourth success would also come from a British Pop Group this time Bucks Fizz with their hit “Making Your Mind Up” in 1981.
