Un De Sceaux Is The Real Star Of The Show

Klassical Dream and Delta Work were both very impressive on Day 1 of the Punchestown Festival but the star of the show was undoubtedly Un De Sceaux.

What a horse he is; now with eleven Grade 1 wins. All the hype yesterday was about Min and I honestly thought he would win too.

People always underestimate Un De Sceaux and he deserves a lot more credit than he gets.

He is a hell of a good horse and a fantastic server to his connections.

Winner Winner
It was great to get a winner on Day 1 of the Punchestown Festival. It was a good performance from Pearl Of The West. She ran a decent race in the Scottish Champion Hurdle just over two weeks ago and fair play to John McConnell; he wanted to change tactics yesterday.

It didn’t work out in Ayr so we dropped her in a bit yesterday and he reaped the rewards. She was a good winner in the end.

Delta Work
It’s a long way away but Delta Work goes into many an outlook as a potential Gold Cup horse. It’s a huge step up in company going from a Grade 1 Novice horse to a Gold Cup horse.

It’s the same with Lostintranslation winning at Aintree; it’s a huge step. Delta Work made one mistake in his novice campaign, in the RSA Chase, but if he steps up he could definitely be on the shortlist for the big handicap in Newbury at the end of November.
