The son of Deep Impact had once been an odds-on shot for the Group One contest but had to defy a drift to 9/4 before the off to hand Aidan O’Brien a record-breaking 11th win in the race.
Auguste Rodin was already an 8/1 favourite in antepost betting for the Derby following his Group Two success on Irish Champions weekend, but we have now slashed his odds into just 3/1.
The colt has also gone favourite in the 2000 Guineas ahead of stablemate Little Big Bear at 4/1 from 10/1.
There was also an early mover in the betting for the Cheltenham Festival as Pied Piper overcame rival Knight Salute at the Prestbury park track to go 16/1 from 28/1 for Champion Hurdle.
