Allmankind Clipped For Arkle Following Kingmaker Success

Allmankind is coming in for increased support to land next month’s Arkle Chase at Cheltenham after a dominant front-running victory at Warwick on Monday.

A course and distance winner on his chase debut in November, Dan Skelton’s five-year-old survived a scare at the penultimate fence to join an illustrious list of winners of the Kingmaker Novices’ Chase, making it three wins from three efforts over the larger obstacles this season.

We had clipped him into 10/1 from 20/1 for the Arkle following his Grade 1 success at Sandown in December, but his chances have now been clipped further into 8/1.

Runner-up Sky Pirate was eased out to 40/1 from 20/1, with last year’s Supreme Novices’ Hurdle winner Shishkin the 10/11 favourite and recent Irish Arkle winner Energumene at 5/2.
