The Pat Buckley trained Ballinabola Ed is the firm 5/4 favourite (from 5/2) with BoyleSports to land the 2023 Race Of Champions at Tralee after his dominant semi-final victory.

This son of Confident Rankin – Dolls Lady showed strong pace to take up the lead from the second bend before going on to beat his rivals by seven and a half lengths in a time of 29.73 for the 550 yards.

This recent winner of The RPGTV Open 600 final at Shelbourne Park has been the favourite since betting opened, but Magical Kuba will be trying his best to get the better of the jolly.

This Patrick Guilfoyle trained tracker was very impressive when winning his heat in 29.51, the fastest time of the competition. He chased down the pace setter Octane Cora to get up on the line with just a head separating them. Kuba is now 9/4 from 8/1 while the Maurice O’Connor trained Octane Cora is 6/1 from 25/1.

Last year’s Irish Oaks champion Raha Mofo showed the boys how it’s done by winning her heat in 29.65 after a sluggish start from trap five. She showed plenty of grit to win by a short head with her chances trimmed into 7/2 from 10/1.

Qualifiers Ballymac Samuel (20/1 from 40/1) and Radical Hero (8/1 from 25/1) are also in the mix but the one to beat is Ballinabola Ed.
