Jaytee Taylor Heads Irish St Leger Betting

Irish St Leger

Outright Betting

There is no doubt that Paul Hennessy has been having a pretty successful year on both the greyhound and horse racing fronts.

The Kilkenny trainer won the English Greyhound Derby at Nottingham earlier this year with Priceless Blake and then produced his first Cheltenham winner with Heaven Help Us last month under the steady hands of jockey Danny Mullins.

Jaytee Taylor is one of the stars of Hennessy’s incredible kennel of dogs and we make him the 3/1 favourite from 8/1 to win the Irish St. Leger at Limerick following his epic opening round run of 29.22.

This is a new track record for the southern track over the 550 yards trip.

Limerick trainer Pat Buckley’s Run Happy has shortened into 7/1 from 10/1. This year’s BoyleSports Irish Greyhound Derby finalist burst from the traps in heat four to claim victory in 29.69 by 1½ lengths to Ardfert Rooster, who is a 25/1 shot.

Wolfe is joint 7/1 second favourite after being trimmed from 8/1. This Graham Holland speedster rocketed from trap one in heat five and obliged for favourite backers at 2/5 as he scooted around the circuit in 29.59 proving his rude health.

There is a three-way tie for third favourite as Lemon Ozzy, Lenson Austin and Ballymac Anton are all 10/1 with the latter landing an impressive win in 29.58 for Kerry trainer Liam Dowling.
