Samcro And Tiger Roll Among Top Weights For Galway Plate

The Denise Foster-trained Samcro has been allotted top weight in the Galway Plate at 11st 10lbs with dual Grand National hero Tiger Roll just 3lbs lower.

We have chalked the dual Cheltenham Festival winner up at 18/1 while dual Grand National winner Tiger Roll is also 18/1. The Willie Mullins-trained Easy Game (18/1) is next in the weights on 11st 9lbs while another of the Cullentra House team, Battleoverdoyen (14/1), is on 11st 8lbs.

Denise Foster has also entered her recent Midlands National winner The Big Lense for owner JP McManus who is 20/1 following his impressive performance at Kilbeggan.

The Emmet Mullins-trained The Shunter heads the betting at 15/2 and will carry 11st 4lbs while his uncle Willie has also entered Brahma Bull (12/1) and Royal Rendezvous (10/1).

In the Galway Hurdle, two days later, Denise Foster’s Petit Mouchoir and Willie Mullins’ Saldier are joint top-weights on 11st 10lbs with those odds at 25/1 and 11/1 respectively.

Emmet Mullins also trained the favourite for this race with his Zero Ten the 8/1 second favourite with Cheltenham and Aintree winner Belfast Banter the favourite at 8/1.
