A Strong Favourite In The Betting

The Strictly Come Dancing glitterball is Hamza Yassin’s to lose.

That is according to the betting this week as the contestants prepare to return to Blackpool’s Tower Ballroom.

The wildlife presenter and pro-partner Jowita Przystal impressed again with their couple’s choice routine and with three 10s dished out by the judges, Hamza’s chances of going all the way have shortened even further as he’s now a hot 1/4 favourite from 1/2 with BoyleSports.

Hamza’s Challengers

Fleur East was a surprising name at the top of the leaderboard as she entered week eight as the 125/1 outsider. Her 39-point haul means an unlikely revival for the singer has been clipped into 50/1, but Hamza’s main challenge is still expected to come from either Helen Skelton at 4/1 or Will Mellor at 16/1.

Tyler West swerved a dance-off as Tony Adams withdrew through injury, but the radio presenter is now 5/1 from 14/1 to be the next dancer given their marching orders, although Ellie Taylor (9/4) and Kym Marsh (3/1) are in most danger according to the latest odds.

“He is being favoured heavily over the likes of Helen Skelton and Will Mellor. The rest are fighting for survival and while Tony’s injury handed Tyler a lifeline, his move into 5/1 from 14/1 puts him firmly in the elimination picture.”
