The Ukrainian champion dethroned Joshua of his WBA, IBF and WBO Heavyweight titles in the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium last September and asserted his authority in Jeddah as a split decision took his professional record to 20 victories in 20 contests.
But punters are already turning to a potential showdown with between Usyk and Tyson Fury after the champion claimed afterwards that he wouldn’t fight at all if Fury doesn’t face him next.
Fury announced his retirement from the sport earlier this year, but he was chalked up as an odds-on 4/6 shot in the aftermath of Joshua’s defeat to return to the ring and get the better of Usyk. Those odds have already been cut into 2/5, making him a hot favourite to Usyk’s 2/1 should the showdown materialise.
Joshua would also be an 11/4 underdog if he was to earn a shot at Fury, while Usyk would be a hot 2/5 favourite to complete a hat-trick if he were to take on Joshua for a third time.
